A Regent Honeyeater observed at Chiltern-Mount Pilot National Park.

We twice saw Regent Honeyeaters visit the dam we were watching, at about 3pm one day and 10am the next. We were not continuously present at the dam and there may well have been several other visits during the day.

Whilst Yellow-tufted and Fuscous Honeyeaters bathed and drank at a shallow edge of the dam, the Regent Honeyeaters dropped into the middle of the dam to drink and flew to a nearby branch to dry off.

This banded bird had just had a "splash".
